DV Wise serves the communities north of Charlotte, working out from home base in Sherrills Ford toward Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and the surrounding area. It is a market with a lot of volume construction in it, which is exactly why we think it is worth being clear about who is actually going to build your house and how.

Family owned and locally operated since 1962
DV Wise has never been sold on or franchised. The company has had two owners, and they are father and son. Tom Wise runs it today and personally oversees every project, and the credentials behind that are ones a homeowner can check rather than take our word for.

What to ask before you sign with anyone
Questions worth asking any builder
You do not have to ask us these to be a good client, but you should ask somebody these before you sign anything.
Who is actually on my job
A high volume builder often hands your project to a rotating site manager. Ask whether the person you are talking to now is the person who will be on the site, and how often they will actually be there.
What credentials can I verify
Accreditations and association memberships can be checked independently. A builder who is glad to name theirs and let you look them up is telling you something different than one who answers with a general claim of experience.
How many homes are running at once
Direct communication and personal involvement are only possible when a builder is not running many jobs in parallel. Ask how many active projects the builder has right now, and what that means for how often you will hear from them.
